A Confession ...

"Out there is a fortune waiting to be had.

If you think I'll let it go, you're mad.

You've got another thing coming."

  -  You've Got Another Thing Comin', Judas Priest (1982)

Confession time.

I love heavy metal.

It's a little harder to find opportunities to listen with kids around, though. Preschool frowns on your toddler quoting Ozzy, apparently.

Anyway, Judas Priest nailed it.

Out there IS a fortune waiting to be had. Forget whatever situation you're in today and look around you for a sec. Are there other businesses that are booming?

You betcha. There always are.

In any economy. Under any President. In every industry. Always. Betcha there's a lawyer not 20 miles from you who's making four times what you are.

Don't get jealous, get inspired. Stop blaming the economy. Get focused.

If others are making it big, it means there's a fortune waiting to be had. For you.

Look, you've got a law license, just like the rich lawyer. We're all members of our special regulated monopoly. We've got the entry ticket.

And face it, law doesn't take a big capital investment. It's not like the rich lawyer spends a lot more cash than you do rendering services.

So what does that tell you? If they can do it, you can do it.

It just means they figured out something that you haven't yet. I'm not putting you down here, if they're doing something that's letting them crack seven figures, and you haven't, the path is clear:

... Figure out what that is, and do it. Because it sure as hell isn't doing the same thing tomorrow as you're doing today.

Out there is a fortune waiting to be had.

What are you going to do about it?
